The Continental Association is created by The First Continental Congress to enforce boycotts in an attempt to force repeal of the objectionable legislation. This is to be done by creating and enforcing a total boycott against trade with Britain, Ireland and the British West Indies.

1781 The Patent of Tolerance, which provides limited freedom of worship, is approved by the Habsburg Monarchy in Austria.
