Event:
1772
New Jersey passes a law that requires anyone practicing medicine to have a license.

1777 The British under General William Howe enters and occupy the city of Philadelphia. The Continental Congress had already left the city and will meet in York, Pennsylvania during the British occupation.

1786 England and France signs a trade agreement.

1786 At Dover Delaware, The Diocese of the Episcopal Church for Delaware was organized.  This Diocese would be under the episocpal supervision of the Bishop of Pennsylvania joining the Dioceses of Maryland and Pennsylvania.  It was the eight of the original nine dioceses of the Episcopal church.
