Great Britain declares war against Spain and Naples. The war would end in 1763.

1773 Russian painter Anton Pavlovich Losenko dies. During his life he painted a large Miracolus Catch painting on the New Testament motives and created Kain and Avel paintings. As a Professor at the Imperial Academy of Art Losenko wrote the text book Short Explanation of the Human Proportions that served a generations of Russian painters
