1770
The trial of six British Soldiers involved in the shooting in Boston on March 5, 1770, the Boston Massacre, begins with John Adams defending the soldiers. The trial ended on December 5, 1770 with the acquittal of four of the soldiers with the other two guilty of manslaughter and released after having their hands banded.

Celebrated Birth:
Jared Ingersoll (b. 1749 – October 31, 1822) Pennsylvania delegate to Continental Congress, member of the Constitutional Convention, signed the United States Constitution.
