– The city of Cincinnati, Ohio is founded by John Cleves Symmes and Colonel Robert Patterson. It was originally called Losantiville, parts of four words meaning ‘city opposite the mouth of the Licking River’.

– David (Davy) Crockett, American folk hero, member of Congress and volunteer at the Alamo.
